LPD8806 Pixel Protocol
A high-speed, clocked RGB LED pixel protocol with a built-in IC, providing 7-bit color resolution and fast, flicker-free updates.
Overview
LPD8806 uses a two-wire (data and clock) SPI-like interface, supports 5V operation, and offers 21 bits per pixel (7 bits per color). Its fast refresh and high PWM rate allow smooth animations and compatibility with cameras, making it ideal for dynamic lighting effects and longer chains.
